Black Seed Roast Potatoes
My Secret Family Favourite Recipe
Crunchy on the outside and creamy in the middle, roast potatoes are hard to beat. Add Black Seed (Nigella Sativa) to the mix, and you have a killer dish! Making them is easier than you think, and with these 3 steps you're guaranteed to have perfect, healthy, and delicious potatoes every time!
Now, I must be losing my mind these days. I cannot believe I am sharing with you guys ANOTHER secret family recipe!! Oh well, my temporary moment of insanity is your gain. Right? :)
If you guys haven’t realized yet, I'm lazy when it comes to cooking, but making this scrumptious, perfectly healthy dish, is as easy as 1, 2, 3! My roast Black Seed potatoes turn out crispy Every…Single…Time :)
1. Start off by pre-heating your oven to a very hot heat, I like to start mine off at 250 degrees Celsius.
2. Peel some potatoes, chop into good sized chunks, place them in a heavy based roasting/oven tray with a little oil of choice (I like to use olive oil). Sprinkle in a generous amount of Black Seeds (Nigella Sativa Seeds), some salt, and toss like a salad. I then also sprinkle a light dusting of ground Black Seeds on top of the potatoes.
3. Bake until nice and golden, turning the spuds over every 20/30 minutes. Turning them over gets the potatoes crunchy on all sides with lots of extra delicious crispy bits. These get made by tossing and turning the potatoes roughly around. The whole family fights over these crunchy beauties All….The….TIME!!!
Now tell, do these Black Seed potatoes look amazing or what?! Now, before your tempted to lick your screen, please step away from your computers/mobiles and go make your own black seed beauties :)
Delicous AND Healthy. What more can you ask for?
