About Eczema and Psoriasis:
Eczema is a form of dermatitis, or inflammation of the upper layers of the skin. The term eczema is broadly applied to a range of persistent or recurring skin rashes characterised by redness, skin oedema, itching and dryness, with possible crusting, flaking, blistering, cracking, oozing or bleeding. Psoriasis is an auto immune disorder which affects the skin. It commonly causes red scaly patches to appear on the skin. The scaly patches caused by psoriasis are areas of excessive skin production and inflammation. Skin rapidly accumulates at these sites and takes a slivery-white appearance. Psoriasis is not contagious.
